Podgora is a picturesque seaside town on the Makarska Riviera in South Dalmatia, located just about 10 km south of Makarska, right at the foot of the steep slopes of the Biokovo mountain range. Above the town, on a hill, stands the well-known Galeb Monument (Galebova krila, Seagull's Wings), a monumental memorial to the Croatian navy from World War II, still a popular excursion spot today with a magnificent view of the sea. Podgora is lined with long pebble beaches surrounded by fragrant pine forests, ideal for a peaceful holiday by the sea. The town has preserved its fishing tradition and offers a much quieter, more family-friendly atmosphere than the busier neighbouring resorts. Sea lovers also come here for the excellent diving in the clear waters along the coast. From here it is just a short hop to Makarska, from where easily accessible ferries connect to the islands of Brač and Hvar. We offer a wide range of apartments and private accommodation directly from the owners, with no commission. Weather in Podgora
