Šibenik is the oldest originally Croatian town on the entire Adriatic coast – unlike the surrounding towns, it was founded not by Greeks or Romans but by Croatian rulers back in the 11th century. Above the old town rise no fewer than four fortresses, among them St. Michael's Fortress, famous for its summer stage and stunning views over the sea and islands, along with St. John's and Barone fortresses. The heart of Šibenik is St. James Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site – a unique building constructed entirely of stone blocks without any binding material. The town sits at the mouth of the Krka River where it meets the sea, making it an excellent base for trips to two national parks – Krka, with its famous waterfalls, and the Kornati, with its thousand islets. Compared to Split or Dubrovnik, Šibenik has far fewer tourists and offers an authentic Dalmatian atmosphere of narrow stone streets. It is an ideal choice for culture lovers and families alike. We offer a wide range of apartments and private accommodation directly from the owners, with no commission. Weather in Šibenik
